I would always answer with the obvious kid statement of wanting to be an officer, or fireman, or I'd just reply with "I don't know," or "I'm not sure yet." But back then it never really mattered what I wanted to do because I was just a kid and didn't have to make tough decisions like that. But time wen't on and I got older and before I knew it I was a Sophtmore in highschool. I never really sat down and thought of the field of work I wanted to join, not until we were assigned a essay on " What I want to be when I grow up?" Most of the people in my classroom were thrilled that they were going to be able to write an essay on a topic that expressed how they wanted to live their life, but this was going to be torture for me. That night I rented three movies in order to help me get an idea of what I might want to pursue for a career, but by renting the movies I never would have thought it would lead me straight to what I want to become. See while watching these movies my mother noticed that I would complain about the setting, or plot, or the bad acting, the lighting, the dialogue and other things and I would rave on about how if I ever made movies, I would make everything perfect and make sure that my movie was outstanding. When she told me this I immediately knew what I was going to write my paper on, I researched as much as I could and wrote an A paper on movie productions. Since then I have been determined to somehow, in some way make a career dealing with movies. My all time dream would be to become a Horror Movie Producer, due to the fact that not to sound creepy or psychotic, but I have a great imagination and amazing ideas for different kinds of Horror Flicks. Some of my favorite movies are the Halloween movie collection, produced by one of my Favorite producers John Carpenter (http://www.cultmovies.info/directors/carpenter/carpenter.html). Some of his most interesting pieces of work (in my opinion) are Halloween, The Fog, The Thing, Christine and Vampires. It use to be that the easiest way to become a producer would to start making Independent films (http://faculty.washington.edu/baldasty/jan27.htm). Hopefully with a great Imagination and the right equipment, you could become very well known and get your name out with a movie that you have produced. I believe that it might not be as easy as it was back then, but that by doing independent flim's and getting your name out there, you still have a good chance of making a big break through. But now adays most schools (not all including MVCC) have sometype of film production study that will teach you the basic steps and methods that can help you head off into the right direction of a producer. There are different types of areas needed to help set a film up, but the producer is pretty much the main essential part of everymovie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_producer). Income depends on the quality of your film and your status in the film world. If your an independent film maker, your not going to be making as much as someone like Spielberg who usually rakes in a mill. or two per film. Right now all I'm interested in doing is taking some general studies programs and passing them with good grades, in order to get into a 4 year college that has a film study program, something like Oneonta or along the lines of a school like that, so for now I just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.....

College life

College life is amazing, everything is so diffrent and new.
